The coalition claims to have destroyed five drones that were fired against Saudi Arabia by the Houthis from Yemen

The Saudi-led international coalition has claimed late Thursday, hours after a ballistic missile was launched, to destroy five drones launched by the Houthis from Yemen and two bomb boats also led by the rebels.

The coalition has highlighted that the drones were involved in a series of attacks that coincided with the 91st of the Kingdoms of Hijaz and Nejd in 1932.

He also stated that “all necessary operational measures have been taken to protect the security of Saudi Arabia, its citizens and residents in order to neutralize and destroy these hostile cross-border attacks,” according to the Saudi state news agency SPA.

The coalition had previously indicated that the Houthis had fired a ballistic missile against the city of Khazan near the shared border and that the bomb boats began their route in Hodeida (west) and were destroyed around the port of As Saif.

The war in Yemen hits the internationally recognized government led by Abdo Rabbu Mansur Hadi and backed by an international coalition backed by Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, backed by Iran.

The rebels control the capital Sana’a and other areas in the north and west of the country. In recent months, despite international mediation efforts on several fronts, the conflict has escalated into a war that has caused the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
