The Chilean authorities recorded three arson attacks this Friday in various communities in the Bío Bío region in the south of the country, which affected houses and forest machines.
In the Contulmo community, the incident occurred at 8:45 a.m. on Friday morning, as confirmed by local authorities, who have said four of the homes affected were completely destroyed.
The governor of the province of Arauco, Óscar Muñoz, has stated that the fires were caused by “antisocial” people who threatened one of the families who were in their home and “removed from the place to later consume the” fires ” according to the Chilean newspaper ‘La Tercera’.
In addition, there was evidence that two other arson attacks took place almost simultaneously in the municipalities of Cañete and Lebu, where the fire mainly affected a large number of forest machines.
“As a government, we want to regret and condemn these events. The government has working groups, holds dialogue tables, but we continue to see these crimes that cause so much pain and violence among innocent people,” said Muñoz.
