Chihuahua State Health Minister Jesús Enrique Grajeda has died this morning from the effects of the coronavirus disease. This comes from medical sources that have been confirmed by the Mexican newspaper “Tiempo”.
Grajeda died around 6:30 this morning, as confirmed by Muguerza Hospital, where he has been hospitalized since July 6th.
Grajeda was tested for Covid-19 disease after meeting with other governors and government officials in Tamaulipas after the governor of that state tested positive for the virus.
State governor Javier Corral has expressed condolences on his Facebook website.
“Dr. Grajeda has devoted his entire life to serving health and has done his most recent effort generously and with dedication at the most difficult moment that Chihuahuan Society was facing in the face of the COVID 19 pandemic. A great being is leaving us human being, teacher of life in many ways because it was an example of verticality, honesty and social engagement, “he complained.
Mexico is one of the most affected countries in Latin America with more than 385,000 cases and nearly 43,500 deaths.
