July 9, 2020

The head of the Israeli army, Aviv Kohavi, and the Minister of Jerusalem, Rafi Peretz, were quarantined this Thursday after contacting a person one day after the Minister of Israel who tested positive for Coronavirus Defense , Benjamin Gantz, did the same in the midst of the country’s upswing.

According to the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth”, Kohavi is one of the 10,000 active soldiers and civil servants who work in military bases that were quarantined during the day due to contacts with COVID-19 patients.

The Israeli army has reported 350 positives in its ranks to date, twice as many as in the first wave of coronaviruses, although it has indicated that most of them are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
