The Burkina Faso army “neutralizes” about 20 suspected terrorists in new operations in the country

The Burkina Faso army announced on Wednesday the “neutralization” of some twenty suspected terrorists and the death of three soldiers in a series of operations that have been carried out in the past two weeks to cope with the increase in jihadist attacks in the African region Country.

The armed forces stated in their communiqué that between 6 and 14 June 53 operations were carried out to “secure the country’s territory” and added that they ended up “neutralizing” 19 “terrorists”.

For example, they said that the first took place on June 9 in Kelbo, where “twelve terrorists were neutralized” and one soldier died. Days earlier, two soldiers had been killed in a bomb explosion near Mentao.

On the other hand, the army “neutralized” seven other suspects following an attack on a department in Sollé on June 12, while announcing the seizure of vehicles and ammunition in another operation in Tinakoff, as reported by the Burkish news portal Infowakat.
