The balance of the pandemic in Iran climbs to more than 350,000 infections and 20,000 deaths

The Iranian authorities have increased the balance of people affected by the coronavirus pandemic to more than 350,000 infected and 20,000 deaths. This comes from a balance released Wednesday by the Iranian Ministry of Health, which includes around 302,000 discharged patients.

At least 2,444 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the preliminary number of infections to 350,279. According to the official IRNA news agency, 153 people have died since Tuesday, a total of 20,125 since the pandemic began.

Iran has maintained a constant number of infections over the past few weeks, over 2,000 positives per day, despite having a high approval rate compared to other countries. Of the 2,444 patients confirmed on Wednesday, 1,132 were hospitalized.

The ministry also reported in its most recent review that 3,868 patients in intensive care units remain in serious condition.
