With different opinions about social networks, Nike has released its new collection “Day of the Dead”.Consists of four models of tennis with one color related to the Mexican party.

According to Nike, the models are inspired by the consistent colors of offers across Mexico. In particular, they relate to two elements that are included in the offers: the Papel Picado and the marigold flowers. They also inscribed the phrase “For My Family”, which refers to the family unity around this tradition that goes beyond closeness in life.

The models are as follows:

  • Nike Air Jordan 1
  • Nike Air Max 90
  • Dbreak type
  • Nike Blazer Mid 77

According to Nike, the four models will reach a large number of countries to promote Mexican culture. Today, October 8th, pictures of the tennis shoes were made available to the public on the platform. However, the official launch is on October 15th, the date they will be stocked in department stores and purchased online.

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition of pre-Hispanic origin. The main holidays are November 1st and 2nd. Recently, however, preparations have started many weeks earlier, and the beauty and complexity of this celebration has drawn the attention of the whole world. In fact, it was named the Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2008.
