South Korea registered 103 new cases, the highest number in more than four months

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention of South Korea (KCDC, according to its acronym in English) this Friday reported the registration of 103 cases of COVID-19, of which 85 were transmitted locally, with a discharge for more than four months.

In light of this situation, South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye Kyun has announced the possibility of returning to tighter containment measures in the Seoul metropolitan area, where this latest climax has occurred.

The latest statements by the KCDC, which, as the South Korean news agency Yonhap reports, have warned that the Seoul metropolitan area is on the verge of a further drastic increase in infections, were also directed in this direction.

Health officials have detailed that of the 103 new cases, there are 85 local infections, the highest number since March 31, when 88 infections were recorded.
