The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health added 1,547 new COVID-19 infections this Wednesday. Since the health crisis began, the day the ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages ends, 97,110 cases have already occurred and the curfew, which is said to contain the progress of the virus, is being reduced.
In terms of the number of deaths, authorities have confirmed a total of 5,984, although another 3,545 are being investigated for their possible relationship to the disease.
To date, and according to authorities, 12,788 people have managed to overcome the disease, although across the country there are still 348 hospitalized patients with a low prognosis and 920 in stable condition.
The capital, Quito, has so far caused a total of 17,232 accumulated cases, which is 90 percent of the infections recorded across the Pichincha province of northern Ecuador.
