Softbank Group International presented Data Science for All ( DS4A ), a program that will hire and train superior talents in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science in Latin America.
The objective of the training and evaluation platform developed by Correlation One will be to prepare workers in the region's technology sector and promote the adoption of AI, even among SoftBank affiliated companies in Latin America. The program also has the support of partners such as Microsoft , iNNpulsa Colombia and the B ID Lab .
“Technology companies in Latin America need qualified talent, with deep knowledge about artificial intelligence and its potential to improve every aspect of the way we live and work,” said Marcelo Claure, CEO of SoftBank Group International.
The program's curriculum consists of theoretical training with practical lessons that include artificial intelligence skills and data that can be immediately applied to common business needs. Participants will conduct case studies and projects on real-world examples.
This project will be based in Sāo Paolo, with remote classrooms in Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Mexico City. DS4A is a live program, directed by an instructor, taught in English over a period of eleven weeks. Classes will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from March 6, 2020.
Registration for the program will open on February 3, 2020 and applications must be submitted on February 21, 2020. It is addressed to employees of SoftBank affiliated companies in the region, as well as software engineers, product technical managers , technical marketing specialists and anyone with a STEM fund interested in learning data analysis.
