Several U.S. states are starting to reopen stores this weekend despite the corona virus

April 26, 2020

Several U.S. states have begun reopening their businesses in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic this weekend, although governors across the country are continuing to take steps to prevent the virus from spreading.

This is the case, for example, in Georgia, where quarantine expires on April 30, although Governor Brian Kemp has allowed some companies, including hairdressers or gyms, to reopen, which has caused reactions from some local leaders.

“As mayor, my power does not replace that of the governor … I ask people to please stay at home,” said Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance after the governor’s announcement, according to The Hill newspaper.
