Several people have died and more than a score have been injured when the bus they were traveling near the town of Rotorua, in northern New Zealand, reported emergency services.
At least two injured have had to be evacuated by air to Waikato and another to Tauranga. Three others would have been displaced by road to Rotorua, while 15 people have been transporters to a nearby area to carry out an additional evacuation.
The local newspaper 'The New Zealand Herald' has indicated that it is feared that six people would have died in the accident. According to preliminary information, this would have occurred due to bad weather conditions.
The security forces have indicated that several tourists from China were traveling on the bus since the area is a popular destination for tourist groups from the Asian giant.
