Saudi Arabia reports more than 2,500 new infections and now has a quarter of a million

The Saudi authorities reported 2,565 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, a total of 248,416 since the epidemic began. In addition, there are 40 more deaths out of a total of 2,447 deaths. The bulletin also contains 3,057 layoffs for a total of 194,218 rescued patients.

The Ministry of Health reports in its bulletin that the Mecca region is most affected with 224 cases, while Riyadh adds 212 new positive cases, Yida 189 and Al Hafuf 182 cases.

The ministry has highlighted that more than 65,000 tests are done daily to stop the infections. Around 1,000 PCR tests were performed daily at the start of the infection.
