The government of Saudi Arabia confirmed its number of daily coronavirus infections since early June on a downward trend that has been registered in the country in recent days.
The Ministry of Health has detailed that 1,897 infections have been registered in the last 24 hours, the lowest since June 2 that has brought the country below the 2,000-day threshold for three consecutive days, the Saudi newspaper ‘Arab News’ .
This new number of cases implies that the country has exceeded the 270,000 infection mark since the pandemic started, up to 270,831, with 2,789 deaths, including 29 in the last 24 hours. In addition, 225,624 people have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
Finally, the ministry noted that 42,418 cases are currently active in the country and added that 2,103 patients are being admitted in critical condition, according to the Saudi Gazette newspaper.
