Saudi Arabia exceeds the threshold of 20,000 coronavirus cases and increases the deceased to 152

The government of Saudi Arabia confirmed on Tuesday that after registering 1,266 in the past 24 hours, the country has exceeded 20,000 coronavirus cases and estimated the total number of deaths to be 152.

Ministry of Health spokesman Muhamad al Abdelali has indicated that the total number of infections is 20,077 cases, of which 17,141 are active and 118 patients are in critical condition.

He also said that 77 percent of coronavirus patients are foreign residents, while 33 percent are Saudi citizens, according to the Saudi state news agency SPA.

King Salman of Saudi Arabia ordered partial detention on Sunday in all regions of the country, except the city of Mecca and several quarantined quarters due to the high number of coronavirus cases.
