SatoshiTango is one of the fintech companies to reach the final of the 2021 edition of the Visa Everywhere initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean. This was reported to Cointelegraph in Spanish through a statement.

After receiving more than 300 applications, 25 startups were selected to virtually participate in the Visa Everywhere Initiative LAC 2021 selection days, where five startups from each sub-region of Latin America and the Caribbean had the opportunity to privately present their solutions in a virtual showcase for executives of visas in the region and meetings with executives such as the country managers of Mexico, Brazil and the Andean region.

On each of these selection days, a finalist startup was selected for each sub-region, resulting in a total of five finalists who virtually take part in an immersion program in order to accelerate cooperation with Visa.

Finerio Connect (Mexico): Finerio was born in 2016 as a personal finance management platform. Finerio Connect was introduced at the beginning of 2020. He used his direct experience in the marketplace and made his open banking products, data enrichment and personal finance experience available to Latam’s financial ecosystem. with a mission to democratize better technology solutions for institutions in the region.

The other four semi-finalists of the Visa Everywhere Initiative in Mexico were: Incode Technologies, ISO TRX, Saldo.mx YoFio.

QUASH.ai (United States): QUASH is an artificial intelligence lending engine designed to make it easier for Latin American and Caribbean banks and financial institutions to increase loan approvals without adding risk by enriching knowledge of their applicants with alternative data and automatic machine learning and being able to identify them are considered the best applicants and – according to the statement – increase admissions by up to 40% with minimal risk.

The other four semi-finalists of the Visa Everywhere Initiative in Central America and the Caribbean were: Cryptobuyer from Panama, MiCrowd from Spain, Mobile POS from Guatemala and UNIT from the Dominican Republic.

Vaki (Colombia): Founded in 2016, Vaki is a crowdfunding platform that aims to democratize funding in Latin America and is growing rapidly in the region. It presents itself as a “crowdfunding platform for developing countries”. The Crowdfunding as a Service (CFaaS) model centralizes different types of collective funding: rewards and donations (Vaki Impacto), pre-sales (Vaki Starter), subscriptions (Vaki sponsors), politics (Vaki Politics), people and friends (Vaki Fun )) and soon debts and equity (Vaki Invest). So far, they have facilitated the collection of more than five million dollars for the projects published on their platform.

The other four semi-finalists of the Visa Everywhere Initiative in the Andean region were: OlaClick from Peru and Colombia, Sekure, Simetrik and Ualet.

Remessa Online (Brazil): Remessa Online is a product from BeeTech, a Brazilian fintech company that has joined the Ripple network and uses blockchain technology for remittance. Today they are connected to more than 200 banks and payment service providers around the world, which enables users to conduct international transactions faster, cheaper and more transparently.

SatoshiTango (Argentina): SatoshiTango started as a cryptocurrency exchange in 2014 and has the vision of transforming itself into a bank that integrates fiat and crypto services holistically. The business volume registered in the last 12 months amounts to 45 million US dollars with more than one million transactions and 800,000 registered users in 93 countries.

The other four semi-finalists from the southern cone were: Cumplo, Hackmetrix and Tiaxa from Chile and SocialNet from Argentina.

Specialized program

The finalists will participate in a special program to expedite collaboration with Visa. One of them will represent Latin America and the Caribbean in the global finals of the Visa Everywhere Initiative 2021, competing for $ 100,000 prizes.
