Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Riabkov warned on Monday that the Eurasian country would give “signals” that the United States will consider “unpleasant” in the coming days.
“Several signals that Moscow will give in the coming days will be uncomfortable for the Americans,” he warned, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik, without providing additional details.
Riabkov has also assured that, despite the fact that the Moscow and Washington agendas “do not coincide”, the Eurasian country is “ready” to “respond” to any question that arises from the United States.
“The United States has been imposing unilateral sanctions on Russia for years with various arguments. Despite this behavior (…) Moscow is ready for dialogue,” he said.
Relations between the United States and Russia have deteriorated in recent months due to the situation with Ukraine and the case of the opposition Alexei Navalni, among other things.
