Russia exceeded 942,000 cases of COVID-19 this Thursday after another 4,785 infections were recorded across the country on the last day, which has its main epicenter in Moscow and the surrounding area, the operations center reported for the fight against the pandemic.
According to the agency, 4,785 new cases were confirmed in 83 regions on the last day, including 1,113 asymptomatic, which is 23.3 percent. Most of the cases were discovered in the capital (688), Saint Petersburg (160) and Moscow province (157).
The total number of infections due to the pandemic in Russia, the fourth most affected country in the world, is 942,106. In addition, there have been another 110 deaths, bringing the total to 16,099 deaths.
On the other hand, more than 6,000 people have been laid off in the past 24 hours, so to date more than 755,500 people have managed to overcome COVID-19 in the country.
