Russia has registered 9,200 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, a total of 272,043 infections and 119 new deaths, up to 2,537 deaths from the disease.
The accumulated number of cases corresponds to an increase of 3.5 percent compared to the previous day, according to estimates by the official center for monitoring the disease, which in turn was quoted by the state news agency Sputnik.
Moscow, the area most affected by the coronavirus, has had a minimum daily number of infections since the beginning of May, of which 3,505 were affected. The Russian capital registered no more than 5,000 daily infections for four days after detecting 4,703 cases on May 13, 4,712 on 14 and 4,748 on 15.
Similarly, 63,166 people in the country have recovered from the disease, including 4,940 who have been discharged in the last 24 hours.
