Russian authorities confirmed more than 370 deaths and 8,300 new infections from coronavirus this Saturday, according to the operations center to combat the spread of the infection.
The agency has detailed that 8,329 additional infections have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 4,871,843 or about 123,000 deaths since the pandemic began.
He also pointed out that the capital Moscow, with 2,765 cases, still appears one day as the city with the most cases, followed by Saint Petersburg with 726 cases, as reported by the Russian news agency Sputnik.
On the other hand, the number of people who have so far recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, has been estimated at 4,488,615, including 8,255 last day discharges. Russia launched the massive vaccination campaign against COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, in December.
The National Consumer Protection Agency (Rospotrebnadzor) has highlighted that 503,560 people are currently being watched as possible cases of coronavirus before it was stated that more than 130.6 million tests have been carried out in the country to date.
