Russia calls on WHO to “improve” and “reform” experiences in the fight against new risks

June 17, 2020

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has called for the World Health Organization (WHO) to “improve” and “reform” taking into account the experience he has gained in the fight against new threats and risks.

“Nobody is perfect (…) So yes for improvement, yes for reform, but for a reform based on concrete facts, based on the experience gained in the fight against new risks and unknown threats, and not a reform which, as they say, aims to spread a political message, “Lavrov said, as reported by the Russian news agency Sputnik.

Lavrov has pointed out that any national or international structure can be improved, and recalled that the United States is currently “very roughly” debating the need to reform the country’s police forces.
