Russia adds more than 9,000 cases and raises the balance to more than 414,000 infected and 4,855 dead

The pandemic of the new coronavirus from the Chinese city of Wuhan has left Russia for more than 9,000 cases for the second time in a row, bringing the balance to more than 414,000 infected and 4,855 deaths, according to the Russian center responsible for the fight against the virus.

“In the Russian Federation, there were a total of 414,878 cases (2.2 percent more) of coronavirus infections in 41 regions,” said a statement by the Russian news agency Sputnik.

In the past 24 hours, the Russian health authorities have identified 9,035 new cases in 84 regions, including 3,622 asymptomatic cases. Of the total new cases, 2,297 were positive cases in Moscow, which corresponds to a total of 183,088 infected people in the Russian capital, which corresponds to 44.1 percent of infections across the country.

“43.6 percent of newly infected people (in Moscow) are people between 18 and 45 years old, 32.7 percent between 46 and 65 years old; 9.8 percent between 66 and 79 years old; and 6.6 percent are over 80 years old” said the Russian center, which is responsible for fighting the virus.
