The new coronavirus pandemic, which has its origins in the Chinese city of Wuhan, has left more than 6,000 new cases in Russia in the past 24 hours, corresponding to 87,147 infected and 795 deaths, the Russian center said the virus on Monday fight.
With this new data, Russia outperforms China and is the ninth country most affected by the pandemic in relation to the total number of infections. “In one day, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Russia was 6,198 in 84 regions, including 2,693 (43.4 percent) infections without clinical symptoms through active detection,” said the Russian body in one of the Sputnik news agency.
The center has confirmed 50 deaths from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, in the last 24 hours and increased the death toll to 795. Most new infections were found in Moscow (2,871 positive in total).
The center said 579 patients have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours, a total of 7,346.
