MADRID, Jan. 4 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Iran's President Hasan Rohani has promised Saturday to the family of General Qasem Soleimani, his right arm in foreign policy and died Friday in Iraq during a US attack, that “his blood will be avenged.”
“We will avenge his blood among all,” Rohani said during a visit to the general's widow and daughter at his home in Tehran, collected by the Iranian semi-official Fars.
The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who visited the family yesterday, has praised this Saturday the figure of the general as a man “who did not fear anything or anyone” and who was “made martyr the greatest villains there is, the United States Government, “as stated in a message posted on his informal Twitter account.
Soleimani's body will be repatriated to Iran in the next few hours with a view to several ceremonies in Tehran that will last until Monday. On Tuesday, Soleimaini's mortal remains will be buried in his home province of Kerman, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
