Iranian President Hassan Rohani passed a law on Tuesday that requires all Iranian government agencies to respond to “hostile acts” by Israel, including those that are committed against the Palestinian people.
Rohani signed the law, which was approved by parliament and the Guardian Council last week, and passed it on to the main ministries, the army, the Supreme National Security Council and the judiciary, as reported by the Iranian news agency.
The law includes fourteen articles, one of which provides that “Palestine’s historical territory belongs to the Palestinian people” while forcing the executive to sanction institutions associated with Israel.
It also prohibits the use of Israeli flags, symbols or signs for “propaganda purposes”, and Iranian funding to the State of Israel. It also prohibits the use of technology made in Israel.
