Rio de Janeiro rules out the state’s closure despite the increase in cases, deaths and intensive care occupation from COVID-19

The Brazilian Ministry of Health this Tuesday confirmed the deaths of 169,485 people from COVID-19, which has already accumulated more than 6.08 million cases, while the authorities of Rio de Janeiro, the second most affected region in the country, announced that they would exclude the reapplication of new restrictions and quarantines despite the increase in positives and deaths, as well as their hospital employment.
