The Iranian authorities confirmed on Sunday the registration of an explosion at a power plant in Isfahan province that did not cause injuries.
As confirmed by one of the plant managers, an explosion and fire occurred on the morning of this Sunday. The cause of the explosion is therefore a defect in the worn out transformers of the plant, confirmed the manager of the news agency IRNA.
The explosion did not cause injuries or affect the electricity supply in Ishafán, although several explosions and fires have occurred in the country in the past few weeks.
