Queen Elizabeth II is “irritated” by the lack of action by world leaders on climate change, as they “speak” but “do” nothing, a few words that come days before the celebration of the climate change summit in Glasgow.
This is shown by some videos from the live broadcast of the Inauguration of the Parliamentary Course in Wales, which took place on Thursday, as published by the Daily Mail and collected by the British press.
The monarch spoke to the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, and Elin Jones, spokeswoman for the Welsh Parliament known as Senedd, about the COP26 conference, which will be held on October 31st and 12th to reduce the rise in the planet’s global temperature.
“I heard about the COP (…) I still don’t know who is coming,” says Isabel II. In a separate video he adds that “only” is known “who does not come” and states that that it “is really irritating when they speak but do nothing”.
The Queen is expected to attend the summit, as is the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and members of the countries that make up the G7 – Germany, France, Italy, Canada and Japan, and the United Kingdom and United States of America United States. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison also confirmed his attendance this Friday. Meanwhile, information suggests that the President of China Xi Jinping will not attend and Beijing will be represented by members of his government.
