Google is helping as much as it can during the contingency, either by opening its connectivity platforms like Hangouts or its productivity services like GSuite . Now, as Xakata Mexico reports, Maps is enabling changes to make it easier for users to find the restaurants and cafes that continue to operate with delivery or takeaway service .
The tool now appears in the first Maps options:

At the moment this tool is not linked to food delivery services such as Uber Eats , Didi Food or Rappi , so it only tells you which are the places that are in service.
However, it is a great option for those small premises that want to continue operating despite the cessation of public activities due to the health contingency. To be indexed on the map it is better to have your business page updated free of charge in Google My Business ( Google My Business , in Spanish).
Let's see the necessary steps to set up your Google My Business account!
Once on the Google My Business page, select “Manage Now” in the lower left corner.
Once all the information of your company is completed, press “Continue”, where you will be asked to verify your business information.
Google will create your Google My Business account and profile. Once this is done, you will be asked to verify your business email address so they can send you a verification code.
You can check it later if you want, but we suggest doing it as soon as possible because it will take a few business days (and you may need to send the check again in some cases) to complete.
After verifying your business address, you can now access your Google My Business dashboard.
From the “Home” section of your control panel you can add your company logo, photos of your premises, edit your business information, as well as allow you to analyze your business knowledge and see customer opinions ( once your business profile is verified).
Google has done many studies on these profiles and people who are looking for your company are more likely to click on their website or call your business if it has the logo and photos on your profile.
In the “Information” section of your control panel, you can update the address, telephone number, business hours, your business website, etc.
In the “Photos” section of your control panel you can manage the images in your commercial profile. Of those that appear in the search results or specific categories (equipment, exterior and photos at work). Many clients use images of their business to give an idea of the atmosphere and quality of their services.
OK, I already have my profile, now what?
Now that your Google My Business profile is up and running, you're one step closer to finding your business from your customers. Start asking for feedback from your consumers. Not all at once, but set a goal for yourself and your staff to earn 4-5 a week. Play a game or reward your employees for spreading the word and receiving criticism.
Consistent reviews are a great way for you to appear more in Google search results.
Believe it or not, Google has an app that allows you to change your business information, review analytics, and proactively engage customers. It is available for both Google Play and the Apple AppStore .
