The protests, which took place in Seattle on Saturday night, resulted in 45 arrests and 21 police injuries after riots in the demonstrations against police brutality and racism in the United States.
“The police arrested 45 people in connection with today’s riots in the eastern district. Twenty-one police officers were injured after being hit with bricks, stones and other explosives,” the Seattle police said on their Twitter account.
The police have detailed that most agents have been able to return to their posts. “One of them was treated in the hospital for a knee injury,” he added.
Around 2,000 people gathered in the city center near the Capitol District, where the protests took place after the death of George Floyd by the police.
