Protests in Afghanistan after the death of three compatriots during a chase with the Iranian police

June 7, 2020

Dozens of activists and demonstrators protested this Sunday in Afghanistan’s Helmand province to demand that the government investigate the deaths of three compatriots killed in the persecution by the Iranian police, reports Tolo News.

The incident, which also injured five people, occurred on Saturday when the vehicle in which they drove through the Iranian province of Yazd was shot several times by the agents, causing the vehicle to crash and start to burn. The three Afghans were burned.

The video-recorded event has gone viral on social networks, especially the moment one of the injured, a minor, asks for his life. “Give me some water, I’m burning,” he shouts during the recording.
