Protester arrested for urinating next to memorial to agent killed in Westminster attack

June 14, 2020

A 28-year-old man was arrested for urinating next to the memorial to Agent Keith Palmer, who was killed three years ago during the Westminster terrorist attack when a right-wing group in London protested this Saturday.

The Westminster attack took place on March 22, 2017, when the Islamic state sympathizer, Jalid Masud, hit several people with his vehicle before fatally stabbing Agent Palmer. Masud died from police shots. Five people died without the terrorist, and 46 others were injured.

The image of the individual, identified as a 28-year-old white man, spread through social media in a photo that City Police commander Bas Javid described as “the most heinous moment” of the US protests Saturday.

The man is currently in custody in Essex after reporting to a police station and is under investigation for security reasons, officials said.
