The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has accepted the application to register the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF, the shares of which are listed on the Arca Stock Exchange in New York.
According to a notice from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dated October 15 in English the agency has accepted the registration of the securities of the publicly traded Bitcoin (BTC) Stratey Fund of the ProShares Trust, that provides exposure to the crypto asset with futures contracts. In addition, ProShares has released a retrospective amendment prospectus stating that its ETF could hit the market as early as October 18th.
The asset will be listed on the NYSE Arca if the SEC formally approves the application. Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart reported that the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF is traded at 95 basis points in the BITO ticker.
The possible inclusion of ProShares comes after the company asked withdraw your application for an Ethereum ETF with the SEC in August. At the time, ProShares announced that it had not sold any securities in connection with the potential offering.
