Portugal registered 373 positive and five more deaths from coronavirus

The Portuguese health authorities reported 373 new cases of COVID-19 and five more deaths this Thursday, a daily balance on par with that of the past few days and held by the country with what appears to be the virus it contains, with the best contagion dates of any European Union.

The Portuguese Directorate General for Health (DGS) has currently registered 838,475 positive and 16,988 deaths, with a number of active cases of around 22,000. Almost 800,000 patients have been discharged since the pandemic began.

Authorities estimate that 283 people have been hospitalized in Portugal, with 77 remaining in intensive care units, a further reduction in hospital data, according to local media.
