The Portuguese authorities have registered less than a hundred new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. This is the lowest growth since the pandemic started.
According to the Ministry of Health, the balance of people infected with coronavirus has increased to 27,679, 98 more than on Sunday. Data released this Monday represents a percentage increase of less than four tenths.
The death toll has now risen to 1,144, nine more than on Sunday, while the number of discharged patients is around 2,500. 805 of the active cases are hospitalized, 112 of them in intensive care units.
Last week, Portugal began lifting restrictions on the coronavirus after the state of emergency that was enacted in the early stages of the health crisis ended last March.
