Portugal has confirmed two new coronavirus deaths and 292 new cases in the past few hours

The Portuguese Ministry of Health has confirmed two more new deaths and 292 additional cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours this Sunday, which exceed a total of 39,000 infections.

In particular, 39,133 people have tested positive for corona virus since the beginning of the crisis, which resulted in a total of 1,530 deaths in the country, according to the balance collected by the Portuguese newspaper Publico.

These numbers represent a decrease in cases compared to Saturday, when 377 new infections were registered, although only one died.

On a positive note, 470 people have recovered from the disease in the past few hours. The number of current cases in the country in which discharges are discounted and reclaimed is 12,227.

Most new cases are registered in the Lisbon region and in the Tajo Valley, where 225 new infections were confirmed within 24 hours. In addition, there are fewer than 15 people in the hospital (there are now 407) and one less in the intensive care unit (there are 69 patients in these units).
