The Portuguese government has confirmed 14 deaths and 295 infections in the last 24 hours, a growth of 1% compared to the previous balance, up to 32,500 confirmed cases and 1,410 deaths.
Like this Saturday, the epicenter is the Lisbon metropolitan area next to the Tajo Valley, areas that the Portuguese government will be addressing with street-level visits in the coming days to better identify the contagion vectors.
On balance, the Directorate-General for Health reports 40 fewer hospitalizations than the previous day, up to 474, but 64 people are in intensive care, one more than on Saturday.
The Portuguese government has also announced the first death of a person under 30 years of age, a woman.
Of the deaths this Sunday, a total of 12 deaths occurred in patients over 80 years of age and in men between the ages of 70 and 79 years. Of the 1,410 deceased, 1,222 are over 70 years old, around 87%.
