The Portuguese health authorities confirmed 263 cases and four new deaths this Saturday, while announcing a new mask that can neutralize the coronavirus when it comes into contact with the tissue.
Overall, the country has 49,955 infections and 1,716 people have died from the disease, according to DG Health, most of which focus on the Lisbon and Tagus Valley regions.
The number of patients hospitalized in intensive care units has dropped again to 50, the lowest since March 24. The number of hospital stays has also decreased: 410, a dozen fewer than on Friday.
In the meantime, Portuguese researchers have announced the first textile and reusable mask that can neutralize the corona virus.
