Portugal adds seven deaths and 283 coronavirus infections within 24 hours

The Health Directorate-General of the Portuguese government reported seven deaths and 283 new infections with coronavirus in the last 24 hours, of which 1,512 deaths and 36,463 infections with the new disease have now been recorded.

The bulletin also includes 22,438 cases of recovered patients, while 428 are still in hospital (12 fewer than on Friday), 77 of them in intensive care (four more than on Friday).

In addition, 1,516 people are waiting for the results of the virus test, and 30,655 are suspected cases in which the authorities are tracking.

The Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley are most affected by the virus in 24 hours with 215 positive results, and Lisbon is the municipality with the highest number of cases, at 2,852.
