WARSAW, Oct. 25 (DPA / EP) –
The authorities in Poland have discovered near the border with Lithuania 10 Vietnamese migrants hidden between the loading of a truck and have arrested the driver, a 44-year-old Polish citizen who now faces a penalty of up to eight years in prison for traffic of people.
Migrants – nine men and one woman – lacked documents when they were intercepted in Budzisko, near the border, during a routine traffic patrol. These people have been returned to Lithuania, country of entry, according to a Bialystock customs spokesman.
The case adds to another event that occurred this week in England, where 39 bodies – allegedly from Chinese citizens – were located inside a truck that had arrived from Belgium.
