You know that from the Puebla sinkhole
So far the sinkhole has approximately 125 meters in diameter Yes 15 meters deep. The downfall has already begun dragging a nearby home down and is expected to keep growing.
The authorities have already put up metal fences and cordoned off the area and restricted the overflight of drones. Army personnel are responsible for keeping at least 600 groupers out of the hole.
“It is neither a tourist attraction nor a place to visit with your family”, emphasized the civil defense on Wednesday.
Some residents of the area believe the hole in the ground is the result of excessive abstraction of groundwater by factories or a water bottling plant in the area.
The bottom of the sinkhole is filled with water that appears to have strong currents, and the Government of Mexico’s National Disaster Management Coordination has indicated that experts believe it was caused by some type of underground river.
“It is very likely that the origin of the sinkholes is related to the presence of subterranean water currents.”said civil defense.
