Peru touches 640,000 coronavirus infections with 9,000 more in a single day

The Peruvian Ministry of Health has reported that the country has touched 640,000 coronavirus infections by adding 9,474 more cases in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest information from the Peruvian organization, so far 639,435 have been confirmed while the death toll was 28,607.

On the last day, authorities broadcast 136 coronavirus deaths, and it’s the sixth straight day with fewer than 200 deaths daily.

As of this Saturday, 12,537 patients remain in the hospital due to COVID-19, 1,524 of them in intensive care units. In addition, 446,675 people have maintained home isolation or have been discharged from hospitals.
