Peru reports more than 4,000 new coronavirus positives and 190 deaths

The Peruvian Ministry of Health reported more than 4,000 new positive results in the country and 190 pandemic deaths in the past 24 hours this Saturday.

With this data, the number of COVID-19 infections in the Andean nation is 225,132, while 6,498 people in the country have died from the consequences of the pandemic.

According to the agency, Lima remains the region most affected by the coronavirus with 129,865 positive results. followed by Callao at 15,556; Piura at 13,411; and Lambayeque with 11,059.

As of this Saturday, 10,342 people from COVID-19 will continue to be hospitalized in Peru, including 1,113 in intensive care units. In addition, a total of 111,724 have already completed their isolation phase or have been released after overcoming the virus.
