Peru reached 680,000 coronavirus infections with more than 6,800 in the past 24 hours

The Peruvian Ministry of Health has reported that the country has hit 680,000 infections in the past 24 hours due to the coronavirus pandemic, with more than 6,800 confirmed cases.

According to the latest government balance, 6,854 new positive results from COVID-19 have been recorded, bringing the total in the country to 683,702.

Health officials have reported that a total of 29,687 people in Peru have died as a result of the pandemic, which was added to the 133 deaths reported on the previous day.

The Latin American country has also rescued more than half a million people, adding a total of 506,422 patients who have already overcome the coronavirus.
