Peru has had more than 350,000 coronavirus cases with more than 4,000 infections in the last 24 hours

The Peruvian Ministry of Health reported this Sunday that the country has exceeded 350,000 cases of coronavirus by registering 4,090 infections in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest balance offered by the agency, the country has confirmed a total of 353,590 positive and 13,187 deaths from COVID-19, 189 of them on the last day.

The Peruvian authorities have indicated that of the overall positive cases, 12,309 are hospitalized, 1,000 of whom are in intensive care units.

In addition, a total of 241,955 people have completed their isolation phase or have been released from the various health centers.

The region most affected so far is Metropolitan Lima with 176,221 infections. The provinces of Lima have collected 13,644 cases. Callao is behind her with 19,794 positives; and Piura with 19,463.
