Peru Exceeds 9,000 Corona Virus Deaths and Prepares New Protective Measures

Peru has surpassed the 9,000 coronavirus deaths this Saturday as the country’s authorities are working on new measures to protect the population and prevent further infections.

According to the latest information from the Peruvian Ministry of Health, 196 further deaths were confirmed by COVID-19, so that a total of 9,135 people in the country have died as a result of the pandemic.

In addition, they reported that the number of infections increased by 3,625 positives to 275,989 in the last 24 hours.

Lima remains the country most affected by the pandemic with 154,713 positive results. Callao follows with 17,747 cases; Piura at 16,461; and Lambayeque with 13,259.
