Peru exceeds 100,000 coronavirus cases with more than 3,000 deaths

The Peruvian health authorities reported this Wednesday that the number of deaths from the coronavirus exceeded 3,000, while the number of confirmed cases is 104,020.

The Peruvian Ministry of Health has detailed that 3,024 deaths have been reported in the country since the pandemic started, although 7,533 are hospitalized, of which 869 are in intensive care.

According to the government, 36,524 people have now been released after recovering from COVID-19.

Peru approves the departure of children under the age of 14 from their homes this Monday, provided they do so for half an hour accompanied by an adult and within a 500-meter radius of the home.

However, this partial detention is not permitted in areas with a high risk of infection, for example in different parts of Lima.
