Peru crossed 700,000 COVID-19 cases this Wednesday after more than 6,000 new positives were diagnosed in the past 24 hours. This is evident from the balance offered by the Andean Ministry of Health.
According to the Peruvian health authorities, 6,586 more cases have been discovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the global number of the Latin American country to 702,776 infected people.
Regarding the deaths, the Peruvian Ministry of Health has reported 113 more, so that 30,236 people have already died in the country as a result of COVID-19.
On the other hand, in Peru, 10,727 people continue to be hospitalized for COVID-19, 1,476 of them in intensive care units with mechanical ventilation. 539,959 people have managed to recover from the disease in the country.
