Peru confirms another 6,700 cases of coronavirus and prepares new aid coupons for families

Peru this Friday confirmed 6,700 more cases of coronavirus, exceeding 676,000 positive cases in the country, as authorities prepare new aid coupons for families to help alleviate the effects of the pandemic.

The Ministry of Health stated in its last balance that the number of infections in Peru rose to 676,848, with 6,703 registered in the last 24 hours.

In addition, a total of 29,554 people in the country have died of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, with an additional 149 deaths on the final day.

Health officials have announced that 11,411 patients will be hospitalized for the coronavirus, 1,496 of them in intensive care units.
