Peru adds another 6,600 new cases of coronavirus and more than 120 deaths to its balance

The Peruvian Ministry of Health reported an additional 6,603 additional cases of COVID-19 and 126 deaths from the disease this Friday.

With these numbers, Peru already has 716,670 infected people, while the number of deaths is already 30,470, according to the Andean nation’s health authorities.

Additionally, 11,490 people remain in the hospital due to COVID-19. 1,469 of them are in intensive care units and require mechanical ventilation. 552,214 people in Peru have managed to overcome the disease.

Almost 100 volunteers are now taking part in clinical studies on the potential coronavirus vaccine by the Chinese company Sinopharm, which began last Wednesday in Peru.
